Syarifuddin Azman (Damok) and ZK Racing at the Japanese Moto3 round

Syarifuddin Azman (Damok):

Friday Practice

“A very good start for today. In FP1 earlier, I was looking for a better setup for the FP2 session. In FP2, I managed to improve my lap time by +0.8 seconds, but I faced some difficulties because my bike was already close to its limit. I will strive to improve myself tomorrow, and the team knows what I need to improve. I hope the weather is good tomorrow and it doesn’t rain. I need to improve my lap time to secure a good position in the qualifying session.”

Saturday Qualifying

“In the FP3 session today, I was able to improve my lap time and find a better setup than yesterday. The team made small adjustments to the bike during the qualifying session, and I felt less confident with the bike. For tomorrow’s race, the team will revert to the setup from FP3. So, I need to stay focused and give 110% in the race. I’ll be starting from P23, so I hope everyone will continue to keep me in their thoughts and wish for me to finish the race and secure points. I don’t want to repeat my mistakes from the last race where I fell on lap 6.”

Sunday – Race Day

“In the race earlier, I was disappointed with myself because I experienced pain in my left leg and couldn’t downshift properly. At the beginning of the race, I was in a good position and in a points-scoring position. After 10 laps, I couldn’t feel my leg anymore, but I tried to maintain my momentum until the end of the race. In the final lap, two riders overtook me, and I’m really disappointed with my performance in the race. Anyway, I need to return to Malaysia and get treatment for my leg. I hope I can perform better in Indonesia than I did in my race in Japan.”
