Soomer signs off the season with points, but Manzi is taken out at Phillip Island

It was a tough weekend for Dynavolt Triumph with both riders crashing on Saturday, and Manzi being taken out by another rider on Sunday. Soomer gained some points to see the team finish fifth in the WorldSSP Championship.

Mixed emotions for BMW Motorrad Motorsport at the WorldSBK finale at Phillip Island

Overall, it proved to be a difficult final weekend for BMW Motorrad Motorsport in southern Australia. Constant weather changes made getting the right set-up and tyre selection a real challenge. Having rained beforehand, conditions were dry for the Superpole at noon on Saturday. Scott Redding (GBR) from the BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team was the best-placed BMW rider in twelfth.

Team Go Eleven end the WorldSBK season with best independent in race 2!

Team Go Eleven ended the WorldSBK season on a high winning Best Independent in Race 2. The weather was so changeable over the weekend, that tyre choices and tactics were the main deciders in the results, with Philipp pitting before one of the races even started for a tyre change!

Ten Kate Yamaha ends the WorldSSP season with a race win and the 2023 WorldSSP championship

With a dominant victory in Race 2 at Phillip Island, Dominique Aegerter ended the highly successful season in the World Supersport class in a perfect way. The Swiss rider was right up front in the opening stages and was in the leading group where there was a big fight taking place. On lap eight, the two-time world champion took over the lead and did not look back.

Yari Montella takes his and Kawasaki’s first win for 2023 in WorldSSP at Phillip Island

Yari Montella stormed to victory on Saturday to take Kawasaki's first WorldSSP win, and the icing on the cake was Can Oncu finished third in the same race, and third in the overall championship! Lucas Mahias scored points in his last race for the Puccetti team finishing 11th.

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing flies to Australia for the final round and announces that Can Oncu is reconfirmed for 2023

The previous event on Lombok was undoubtedly positive for the two WorldSSP riders Yari Montella and Can Oncu, the latter reaching the podium in both races. The Turkish rider continues to mature and grow as a rider, and Manuel Puccetti is proud to confirm that Can will remain part of the team again next season.

Will Team Go Eleven be able to take part in the last WorldSBK round?

Fingers crossed for Team Go Eleven and Philipp Oettl that they can take part in the last WorldSBK round this weekend. "Till now I am not 100% sure to race! I feel quite ok, today we had a medical check, but they to evaluate my conditions tomorrow morning before FP 1."
