Josh Brookes and Peter Hickman are ready for the IOM TT

FHO Racing BMW Motorrad by Monster Energy is delighted to confirm a formidable line-up once again for this years’ TT Races, as Josh Brookes and Peter Hickman will take on the Mountain Course aboard BMW M 1000 RR machinery.

After the teams’ success at the event over the past two years, where in 2022 Hickman celebrated wins in the Superstock, Superbike and Senior TT Races, he followed up his victories last year taking another Senior TT win, as well as wining both Superstock races with an incredible outright lap record (136.358mph) aboard the M 1000 RR.

With Faye Ho’s outfit making history at the 37.73-mile Mountain Course, all eyes will be on the team again this year as Josh and Peter will contest the Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT races with FHO Racing BMW Motorrad by Monster Energy.

Australian Josh returns to the TT for his second consecutive year on BMW machinery, after previously having a five-year break from the event. Coming back last year he impressed with how quickly he adapted back to the roads, where he placed fifth in the Senior TT and set a new personal best lap of 132.529mph.

The FHO Racing duo have been enjoying the Isle of Man’s hospitality this week with the 2024 TT Races launch event taking place last night, and with just over a month to go before the bikes will be lining up on Glencrutchery Road, excitement is building for one of the main events on the two-wheel calendar.

The 2024 Isle of Man TT Races start on Monday 27 May and run until Saturday 8 June.

Josh Brookes #7:
“I’m always pleased to come back to the TT, I’ve always been hooked since my newcomer year in 2013. I’ve had time away from competition there and it’s always more pleasant to come back consecutively and not having a gap between years, so coming back after 2023 is ideal and I feel comfortable only having to go back 12 months to recover the knowledge and experience that I have, so it makes arriving and the first practice process a lot easier. Staying with Faye and the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team for another year gives me continuity and improves my chances of success and reaching my goals; everything is looking positive and I’m excited to get to it this year!”

Peter Hickman #10:
“I’m super excited for the TT; we’ve had a few days on the island for the launch event and that kind of means that the TT isn’t far away, which is exciting! Following our BSB test at the weekend we have found improvements from last year, which will translate to the TT and overall, I’m pretty happy where we are with the BMW and we’ve not even got to Round 1 of the British Championship yet! I’m setting off again from #10, which is my preferred number. I don’t like being the first on the road, I like to be the chaser and being at 10 just gives me a better feeling with myself. We had a super-successful year last year, but it also wasn’t without its faults and problems, but I think we can improve, and we have already improved with some of the changes the team has worked on across the winter, these have only been some small improvements, but will end up with a bigger difference overall. We have Round 1 of BSB coming up next week and then it’s full steam into the season. A huge thanks to Faye [Ho] and the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team for all the hard work and hopefully this season will be a good one for us all.”

Faye Ho, Team Principal – FHO Racing BMW Motorrad by Monster Energy:
“The TT is such an iconic, thrilling and an amazing event and I’m so pleased that we have the same team together as last year. Pete is something else on the Roads, which comes through with his results at the TT and the Macau Grand Prix. Last year we had some problems with the Superbike machine, but even with those problems Pete still went on to finish second in the Superbike race and with a lot of hard graft from the team he went on to win the Senior. The Superstock races were incredible and shows what a force Pete is on the Roads smashing his own lap record. Josh impressed everyone with how quickly he found his feet again at the TT; it’s not an easy place to have five years away from, but Josh showed his race craft and came back with a bang with top-five finishes and although not with my team, he was on the podium in the SuperTwin race, which was wonderful to see. The whole team is excited to get back to the TT Races and we can’t wait to hear “attention paddock” on the opening day.”
