No party in the park for Eazi-Grip supported Synetiq BMW at Oulton Park

Oulton Park didn’t quite produce the results our SYNETIQ BMW Motorrad duo of Danny Buchan and Andrew Irwin were expecting over the May Bank holiday. A best placed finish of 10th from Danny Buchan was the highlight of the weekend for the Northern Ireland based team, but with round three at Donington Park on the horizon in just over two weeks’ time, we will regroup and come back stronger.

Steve Plater – Team Manager

“Tough weekend but that’s the highs and lows of racing. From the podium at round one to a roller coaster Oulton Park with Danny riding at 80% suffering from a virus and Andrew taken out in race 2; then a cold tyre high-side post pace car in race 3. On a positive note we made good improvements all weekend that will pay dividends when we return to Oulton Park later in the year.”

Philip Neill – Team Principal

“Oulton Park is not a circuit that has been overly kind to us over the years and with Danny being unwell it made it that little bit more of a challenge. It’s a long season and as Andrew proved at round 1, we have a podium package here at SYNETIQ BMW – it’s just up to the boys and their crew to find the sweet spot going forward to grab these results in a very tough championship.”

Danny Buchan

“I was feeling poorly over the weekend so although not an excuse, it made the all action Oulton Park even more challenging for me. As I say no excuses. We found some additional direction with the M 1000 RR package and Donington Park now can’t come soon enough.”

Andrew Irwin

“It was a difficult weekend for sure and a bit of a low point after scoring a podium at Silverstone. Certain tracks seem to suit certain packages now in BSB, so here’s hoping that Danny and I can be in that front group challenging for podiums at Donington. Thanks to the whole SYNETIQ BMW crew for a big effort as always.”
