Scott Ogden and Josh Whatley take on the rollercoaster with MLAV Racing in Moto3

Landing at Portimao
A tricky start for all in Portimão in this morning’s session. Fresh rain and dust made for impossible conditions in morning practice. As a result, no riders completed a timed lap. Once running got going after lunch, our boys were quickly up to speed.
Scott Ogden recorded the 8th fastest time of the session, and is provisionally through to tomorrow’s Q2 session.
Josh Whatley found good pace in all sectors, but was unlucky not to link together his perfect lap. He ends the day 21st overall.
More improvements to report from Portugal
Josh Whatley had a tricky morning session and had to battle it out in Q1, where he improved by a second compared to his morning time. Despite his best efforts, he ended the session P8.
Scott Ogden. made his intentions clear, continuing his Friday form. A P6 in the morning saw him directly through to Q2 where he secured a slot on the 3rd row of the grid. He starts P9.
We should be on for a tight group race tomorrow, so with elbows out, we’ll have as much fun as we can!
Ready to race
After 19 laps on the rollercoaster our boys brought home a good result and more precious data from race runs.
Josh Whatley, still under the cloud of his injury fought well on this physical circuit to 19th place, just unable keep in touch with the group ahead by the time the flag fell.
Scott Ogden’s tough opening lap compromised his charge through the field. He battled all race long to take 15th across the line.
A wee break now before Austin, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be taking any time off between now and then!
