Eazi-Grip supported Team Go Eleven head to Navarra

About two weeks after Most, WorldSBK is ready for another new adventure; brand new circuit, located in the north of Spain, Navarra Circuit will be the scene of this weekend Round.

Compared to the track in the Czech Republic, here the main Superbike Teams have been able to carry out a few days of testing in recent months, so as to provide at least an idea of the layout to their riders. Chaz and Go Eleven shot one day in mid-May, just before the start of the Championship. The feelings were good, despite the many bumps on the track, the Welsh rider said he was satisfied with the work done, and seemed to be at ease in the turns of the circuit. Like Most, Navarra is also quite atypical, with seven turns from first gear. A rather slow and collected track, therefore, in which acceleration from low speed will be really important. The Go Eleven Team is called to raise back after the though Round of Most, between crash, contacts at the start and a never-found speed. Confirming the positive feelings we had in the pre-season tests and working with a view to the race is the goal for tomorrow. Temperatures should be high enough throughout the weekend, even over 30 degrees, and once again the choice of tyres will affect the outcome of the races.

Chaz Davies

“Here we are at Navarra! It’s another new circuit, but we tested here; I just did one day a few months ago, before the beginning of the season. It was enough to learn the track and some of the details of the circuit; we had a basic understanding but obviously this weekend is when it counts. We will try to start strong tomorrow and try to carry that through the weekend. Possibly the circuit may have had a little bit of care since the test, so we need to understand how that affected the bumps, because it was very bumpy, and from what I understand, it’ s something they have tried to improve for this weekend. Physically I feel a step better than in Most, it’s still not 100%, but it’s going in the right direction. So looking forward to the weekend, hopefully have positive one!”
