ZK Racing at the Indian MotoGP

Friday – Practice

Syarifuddin Azman (Damok)

“In FP1, I was able to make good result and good laptime. This is a new track for all the riders. I’m still trying to find my rhythm on this new track, but I managed to set good lap times. I finished the FP1 session in P14 and FP2 in P19. The weather today was very hot, and I struggled a bit with my bike. I’ll try to find a better setup tomorrow, and the team knows what needs to be improved. I hope to set a good lap time tomorrow and make it to Q2. That’s my goal. I hope everyone will keep us in their prayers for a good qualifying session tomorrow, both for me and Danial.”

Saturday – Qualifying

“Today, I struggled to find a better setup; however, I managed to improve my lap times in every session except for FP3 due to track limits. Although I was able to improve my lap time, it was cancelled. Nevertheless, I remained 100% focused for the qualifying session. In the qualifying session, I managed to improve my lap time, and I am happy with my progress, but there is still so much to learn. I need to stay focused and search for a better setup for tomorrow’s race. My team is also happy with my performance this week. I need to take this as motivation for tomorrow’s race and the races to come.”

Sunday – Race Day

“I am not happy with my race result today. I crashed at turn 5 and tried to pick up my bike and continue racing. I managed to continue the race and finish in P21. I am happy with my progress this week, but I am not happy with the race result. I hope that the mistakes I made in today’s race can help me improve myself for the race in Japan next week. I hope everyone is happy with my progress and continues to support me for the upcoming races.”

Friday – Practice

Danial Syahmi (Wildcard)

“I finished P28 in FP1 and P29 in FP2. From the beginning of FP1, it was a bit challenging for me because this is a new track and with a new team. However, the bike remains the same, which is Honda. For tomorrow’s session, I need to find a better setup than today, and I also need to fix my gearing. From FP1 and FP2, I was able to improve my lap times, by around 1 second. For me, that’s a good improvement. Tomorrow, I will try even harder than today to achieve good lap times and a good position.”

Saturday – Qualifying

“Unfortunately, I couldn’t set a good lap time because I had issues with my bike. These problems made it difficult for me to control my bike. The rear brake was elevated, making it hard for me to press the rear brake as usual. Additionally, there was a strong wind during the qualifying session because it was about to rain. I gave it my all, but I know where I need to improve for tomorrow’s race. My goal for tomorrow’s race is to be within the group of riders and among the top 20. I will give everything I have and put in more effort than today in tomorrow’s race. Thanks to everyone who has been praying for me, especially my family.”

Sunday – Race Day

“I would like to express my gratitude to PETRONAS for giving me the opportunity to compete in the IndianGP. This is one of the new circuits for me, and I’ve been able to learn a lot in this World Championship. I’m not satisfied with my race result because I know I can do better. From FP1, my bike was less competitive compared to others. In every session, we were searching for a better setup and gearing, but we still couldn’t compete with other bikes on the straight line. In today’s race, I gave it my all, and I’m happy to have finished the race. I will train more and work on improving myself to be better prepared for the next race.”
