“Today was a positive day, I was in the top five several times and managed both sessions well. The main difficulty came during the time attack, where I struggled to extract the maximum performance from the soft tyre on a single lap. I had good pace, but I wasn’t able to put everything together consistently when it mattered most. It’s a bit disappointing because we were very close, but we have room to improve and strong potential to do a solid job tomorrow.”
#5 Johann Zarco – 8th – Sprint
“It was cool! I’m happy with the start. The first lap behind Marc was good, but then I was losing time in the fast corners. It was tough to try to catch them in other places, and I couldn’t go any faster. It was good to fight. Then, when the rain came, I hesitated about going in, but with seven riders on track, I stayed, and I should have come in. I believe I missed an opportunity there, but at the same time, it was difficult. In any case, taking a front row start in the morning and finishing in the points considering the whole situation, it’s a good result. Let’s see tomorrow!”
#11 Diogo Moreira – 14th – Sprint
“It was fun! It was nice to ride like this, to do my first flag-to-flag race and understand the situation. It was important to finish the race and learn a lot. Looking ahead to tomorrow, in the dry I was there, I felt fast and was following the factory Hondas. I’m excited for tomorrow; let’s see how the race goes.”
#5 Johann Zarco – 7th – Race
“I gave my best to secure the best possible result, and today it was 7th. The start was tough, but I managed to defend my position and fight with my rivals. Our pace was better than I expected, honestly, it was very decent, and I’m happy about that. Of course, I was aiming for the podium, but with five laps to go I felt a big drop in the rear tyre. In the end, I crossed the line in 7th, which is still a positive result. Tomorrow’s test will help us improve in some areas and be better prepared for the next races.”
#11 Diogo Moreira – 17th – Race
“We know it’s difficult to overtake in MotoGP, and even more so at this track. The race wasn’t bad, I was there, following the factory Hondas. With 10 laps to go, I started to struggle with the tyre wear. Tomorrow it will be important to try some different setup options and see where we can improve.”
