Zarco finishes in the points at the last MotoGP round at Valencia

#5 Johann Zarco – 15th (1’29.891) – Practice
“I’m disappointed to be in this position and to miss Q2 today. The field is incredibly tight, and I felt I couldn’t ride exactly the way I wanted. We still haven’t found a solution to give me a better feeling on the braking points. I tried to push, but I couldn’t make it work. However, it’s still possible to secure Q2 tomorrow, so let’s see what we can do.”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 23rd (1’30.529) – Practice
“Today we tried several new things and they worked well. Our lap time improved, and we managed to reduce the gap from the morning to the afternoon. Overall, I’m fairly satisfied with the progress we made. Tomorrow in the Sprint, we’ll see what we can achieve. I want to finish the season with a strong result, and we’re ready to push hard in Q1 so I can give my absolute maximum.”
#5 Johann Zarco – 10th – Sprint
“I chose the medium rear tyre because it was the one I felt most comfortable with, and overall it worked well for me. We were expecting a bit more, but it was still the best option for the full Sprint distance. In the end, I didn’t gain any real advantage from it, which is why the result fell short of our expectations. We’ve gathered good information for tomorrow, especially since we’ll be doing twice as many laps as today. Even without scoring points, we did some solid work throughout the day. Now let’s try to finish the season tomorrow with a better result!”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 21st – Sprint
“It was a really difficult Sprint for me. The front tyre didn’t give me enough confidence to push, and that made things complicated. Tomorrow will be my last MotoGP race, so I will give my maximum and enjoy it as much as possible.”
#5 Johann Zarco – 12th – Race
“I’m really sorry for Pecco. I was trying to avoid contact with Binder while attempting to overtake Quartararo. In the change of direction, when I made the move, it was very hard to stop the bike, and I ended up crossing Pecco’s line. The impact was strong, and I’m sorry to have ended his race. I was expecting the penalty. Then I was almost last, so I took it easy and stayed consistent without overheating the tyre. The lap times were quite good, and I tried to gain as many positions as possible. I finally crossed the line in 12th, and I finish the year as the top Honda rider, which is positive. We are ready for the test and for what’s coming!”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 17th – Race
“Today was my last MotoGP race, and I enjoyed it as much as possible. I want to thank LCR for the work done this year; we worked hard, and I learned a lot. Being the first-ever Thai rider to reach MotoGP is an honor. I’m ready for my next chapter. Many thanks to everyone who supported me throughout this journey.”
