Team Go Eleven head to Estoril for the penultimate WorldSBK round

WorldSBK 2024 is approaching the final rounds of the season: two rounds to go until the end of the championship, first Estoril, close to Lisbon, then Jerez de la Frontera, will provide the final verdicts before thinking about the year to come. An exciting season for Iannone and Team Go Eleven, which began in far away Phillip Island with many questions, and proved positive with the victory of Aragon.

In Estoril, the Italian team is motivated to confirm the good things shown in the previous rounds, fighting in the main positions of the standing. In Cremona and Aragon, the podium has always been within reach, a sign that in these last races the growth is clear. The #29 has not raced on the Portuguese track since 2011, with Moto2, while the WorldSBK championship has not returned here since 2022. The track seems to adapt well to the characteristics of the Ducati Panigale V4-R, which has often been competitive in past editions; a mix of fast corners, braking points, a long straight, 9 right and 4 left corners to represent a complete layout. The asphalt is not very abrasive, so much so that Pirelli has opted for a soft tyre solution, the SCX returns for the long races and the high-performance SCQ for the Superpole and Superpole Race. The weather is often an important factor, given the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, wind and rain could appear on Friday and Saturday, while on Sunday there should be a clear weather improvement.
