The Espana Superbike Championship (ESBK) enters its race week for Round 4, set to take place at the Circuit de Navarra, located in northern Spain. The 4.313-kilometre track features 17 corners in total – 11 right-handers and 6 left-handers.
Qabil Irfan returns to this circuit with fond memories and a strong record. Back in 2024 during Round 7 of the ESBK Moto4 category, Qabil claimed pole position, finishing Race 1 in third place and Race 2 in second.
This weekend will feature two races, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
Qabil currently leads the overall championship standings with a 43-point advantage over his closest rival, Izan Rodriguez of Spain. With this margin, Qabil is determined to defend his position at the top of the standings.
He is set to depart for Navarra on Tuesday at 9:00 PM and will be racing with the Frando Racing VHC Team Liqui Moly throughout the race weekend.
There will be no live broadcast for Race 1, but Race 2 will be streamed live on the official RFME YouTube channel.
Qabil Irfan:
“This week is Round 4 of the ESBK, and I’ll be flying to Navarra on Tuesday night. It’s one of my favourite circuits — in 2024, I secured pole position and finished on the podium in Race 2.
Navarra is a technical track with hard braking zones and chicanes, which I really enjoy. I’ve prepared well, including NSF training sessions at Sepang Circuit. If all goes well, I’ll give my best to fight for a podium finish this weekend.”
