PTR Triumph head to the Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary this weekend for Round Four of the FIM Supersport World Championship, aiming to build momentum as the 2026 season gathers pace.

Located southwest of Budapest, the 4.115km Balaton Park Circuit made its debut on the calendar last year and quickly proved to be a challenging and technical venue. It was also the site of a breakthrough performance for Oli Bayliss, who secured his best result of the 2025 season with a hard-fought fourth-place finish in Race Two, narrowly missing out on a podium.

Bayliss arrives in Hungary determined to return to the front of the field. After securing his maiden World Supersport podium earlier this year at Philip Island, the young Australian is eager to bounce back following a pair of challenging rounds and establish himself as a consistent podium contender.

Oli Bayliss: “I’m really excited for Balaton Park.  First year here last year and it’s a circuit I really like.  We’ve been in struggle street a little bit as of late but this would be a good turnaround point.”

On the other side of the garage, Tom Booth-Amos heads into the weekend full of confidence after a strong return to form last time out at Assen, where he claimed a third-place podium finish.  The British rider will be aiming to maintain that momentum as he looks to battle for the victory at Balaton Park.

Tom Booth-Amos: “Hopefully we can continue on the form from Assen to Hungary this week.  I’m looking forward to riding my bike again.”

PTR Triumph Racing Factory Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “Last year here was the scene of Oli’s best result of fourth, he’s had a podium this year already but then we’ve had two difficult rounds for him. It just goes to show how competitive World Supersport is now when you can be only 11 seconds off the win but you’re eighteenth. He’s had a successful test at Oulton Park with the British Supersport team as we have loaned him as a stand in rider for the injured Bradley Perie. So we are going to a track where he is confident, it worked well last year so we are looking to Oli to show the form we know he is capable of and we will work hard as a team as always to get that result. 

Tom returned to something like the form we know he can do with a third and fourth place in Assen, so now he goes to Hungary in a more confident mood. This was a difficult race for him last year so now we can go with a positive frame of mind and we will work with him to get the best results we can.”
