PTR Triumph motivated for Magny-Cours

PTR Triumph get back to business this weekend as the long summer break comes to a close with round nine of the 2023 FIM Supersport World Championship getting underway at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours.

After a very productive two days of testing at Aragon last week, PTR Triumph’s Niki Tuuli and Ondrej Vostatek arrive at the French circuit with a high level of confidence for the weekend ahead.

Niki Tuuli: After the long break I was really happy that we organised a test.  I want to say a huge thanks to my sponsors and the team for making it happen. It was really good to just ride the bike, try a couple of new things to improve, just to feel the speed again. I think we were able to find the speed quite quickly and we were pretty competitive.  For sure we are more ready for Magny-Cours because of the test.  Magny-Cours is my favourite track so I’m looking forward to it and the target is to make a podium so let’s see what we can do.  I can’t wait.”

Ondrej Vostatek: “I have a very positive feeling about the last test, we improved a lot in understanding the bike and myself.  Magny-Cours is a really interesting track and I know I can be fast there. Personally I want to work on better strategy for qualification which is half of a success.  We know we are strong and I want to use it for a good result.”

PTR Triumph Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “We are heading to Magny-Cours on the back of a very successful two-day test in Aragon.  The weather was good and we could confirm a lot of settings and try some things, it was very useful information.  Very good for Ondrej for more time on the bike and also for Niki to confirm settings.  So, a really good test to send us into the last four rounds in the best possible shape.  Niki likes Magny-Cours and Ondrej is full of confidence so I can say we are looking for good results from both riders.”
