PTR Triumph Racing heads to Italy this weekend for round seven of the 2026 FIM Supersport World Championship at the iconic Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

The team arrives at the Adriatic coast following a positive Aragón weekend that saw Tom Booth-Amos return to the podium with a hard-fought third-place finish in Race One and secure pole position for Sunday’s race after setting the fastest lap. Although Race Two delivered less reward than the pace deserved, both Booth-Amos and teammate Oli Bayliss collected valuable championship points and demonstrated their ability to fight inside the leading group once again.

Misano’s 4.226km layout is one of the most recognisable venues on the World Superbike calendar. Featuring a mix of fast flowing corners, heavy braking zones and technical sections, the circuit often produces close battles in the World Supersport category.

Booth-Amos heads into the weekend looking to continue the momentum gained in recent rounds. The British rider has consistently shown podium-challenging pace this season and arrives in Italy determined to convert that speed into more silverware as the championship enters a crucial phase.

Tom Booth-Amos: “I’m looking forward to getting back on track in Misano this weekend.  It’s a circuit I enjoy riding and the atmosphere around the circuit is incredible.  As always, the goal is to stay competitive, keep improving throughout the weekend and fight for the best possible result.  I’m excited to get started and see what we can achieve this weekend.”

For Bayliss, Misano offers another opportunity to build on the progress shown throughout the year. The Australian has already claimed two podium finishes this season and continues to establish himself as a regular contender inside the top group. After showing strong pace in both Most and Aragón, he will be looking to ensure the Triumph Street Triple RS remains firmly in the fight when action gets underway this weekend.

Oli Bayliss: “Misano is a track I enjoy riding a lot.  The atmosphere is always really good and I’ve gone pretty well there in the past.  The last few rounds have been quite positive so I want to keep the ball rolling with some good results.”

PTR Triumph Racing Factory Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “We have passed the halfway point in the season and we have had four podiums, two each for Tom and Oli. The last round was Tom’s second podium and fastest lap in the first race and in race two we had both riders fighting inside the top ten so we go to Misano with confidence. It’s been a good track for us in the past so we have to work together as a team to achieve the best results for both riders but certainly we have to look to be challenging for the podium.”
