Moto4 Asia Cup Test concludes on a positive note

The Moto4 Asia Cup Official Test, held at PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit from 8 to 10 February 2026, delivered a very positive outcome for all three national riders.

Qabil Irfan demonstrated consistent performance and strong determination throughout the test sessions, finishing second overall. Qayyim Razin showed steady improvement from one session to another and concluded the test in 11th place overall. Meanwhile, Naqib Rifqi maintained a stable pace across the two days of testing, securing sixth place overall.

Although the results are highly encouraging, there are still several areas to refine ahead of the opening round, scheduled to take place on 27 and 28 February 2026 in Buriram, Thailand. The SIC Racing team will continue to assess the identified weaknesses to ensure the riders are fully prepared and performing at their best when the racing season begins.

“Over the past two days, I have learned a great deal, particularly in terms of maintaining consistency on every lap. InsyaAllah, if everything goes smoothly, I will give my very best ahead of Round 1 of the Moto4 Asia Cup at the end of this month. There are still many areas I need to improve, especially in the hot conditions today, and I must be smarter in managing tyre usage at the right time.”

“Throughout the two days of the Official Test, I made significant improvements and learned a great deal. I was competing with very fast riders, including last year’s seniors, and they provided strong competition. From that, I was able to raise my performance and identify areas where I need to improve.

The challenge was intense as everyone was highly competitive and quick. It was also mentally demanding to push for better lap times and handle close, aggressive battles on track.

For Round 1 in Thailand, I am confident about fighting in the front group as the test results were quite positive. However, there is still a lot to improve. InsyaAllah, I will continue working hard on my training and fitness to lower my lap times. I will do my very best for everyone who supports me.”

“I am truly grateful to the Moto4 Asia crew and the fellow riders who have been very supportive throughout this session. The two days of testing took place in very hot conditions, which were quite challenging for my mental strength and fitness. Overall, there are still many areas I need to improve from this official test, particularly in terms of my mentality, physical fitness, and riding performance.”

“The Moto4 Asia Cup Official Test went smoothly. All three riders looked competitive, especially Qabil Irfan, who set the fastest time in almost every session except the final one after a crash. I am confident that there are still several areas we can improve, particularly for Qabil and Qayyim within the SIC Racing team. Honestly, I am looking forward to Round 1 in Thailand and hope that all our riders can compete in the leading group and bring home podium finishes for the 2026 season.”
