The 2.96km Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick, Queensland will host the fourth round of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) this weekend where Broc Pearson will be looking to improve on his nail-biting 2024 performance where the DesmoSport Ducati rider finished just four one hundredth (0.044) from the race win aboard the DesmoSport Ducati Panigale V4 R. Luca Durning is also set to return to the track as the young Kiwi contests the Next Gen SuperSport class aboard the DesmoSport Ducati-prepared Panigale V2.
Team Owner, Ben Henry: “I always like going to Morgan Park. I like riding the track, we are usually strong here and there’s always a great crowd, so I’m looking forward to getting into it. We did some laps in testing and the guys have to build the settings from zero each time we head to a track for the first time with the new ECU, so it’s been a challenge. We have a great team, with a lot of knowledge and experience and it’s making for a great atmosphere in the box and it gives me a lot of confidence heading into the weekend that Broc (Pearson) can have a strong result. With an awning not yet installed on the new truck, we’re in a different location to usual, making us the only superbike team off pit lane which presents it’s own small logistical challenge, but all in all, things are set to be a great weekend. Once again Luca (Durning) is the only Next Gen Supersport entrant on our Panigale V2, this time running the number 21 as he gets set to run with Supersport all weekend this time around.”
Broc Pearson: “Morgan Park is a track that I bring a lot of confidence heading into. I’ve had strong results here in the past and I’m motivated to improve on those results. We tested a few weeks ago at the track and while the times weren’t especially fast for anyone, we were positioned comfortably towards the front as we dialed in the ECU, so I expect our times to drop from that point as the weekend progresses. With some cold weather ahead of us over the weekend, it will be interesting to see how things play out, but I’m ready to capitalise on the work we’ve been doing as a team and getting to the top step this weekend.”
