Miguel Oliveira has committed his future to the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship for “2027 and beyond” after inking a new contract with the German manufacturer. The Portuguese star, who switched from MotoGP to WorldSBK this season, will remain with BMW as he looks to add to his podium tally while also searching for a first win in World Superbike.
STARTING A NEW CHALLENGE
Oliveira won five Grands Prix in his time in MotoGP, all for KTM, including on home soil at the Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimao. However, at the end of 2025, the #88 found himself out of MotoGP and moved to WorldSBK as he linked up with BMW, who won the title in 2024 and 2025 with Toprak Razgatlioglu.
HIGHS AND LOWS IN A ROOKIE CAMPAIGN
Australia was tricky for Oliveira thanks to a crash in the Tissot Superpole session, but he bounced back in style at Portimao with three rostrums. He returned to the podium in Race 1 at Balaton Park but a crash in the Tissot Superpole Race derailed his campaign as he missed rounds at Most and Aragon, before returning for Misano. So far, Oliveira has claimed four podiums for BMW and will look to add to that tally across the final third of the 2026 campaign.
FUTURE DECIDED
In terms of his future, the pressure is off Oliveira after signing a new deal which covers him on “the years to come”, keeping him on BMW machinery in WorldSBK as the German brand look to return to the form they achieved when Razgatlioglu was consistently fighting for wins and podiums on the M 1000 RR machine.

Oliveira joined BMW Motorrad Motorsport and WorldSBK in 2026 after seven years in MotoGP. In his first season as a factory rider with the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team, the Portuguese rider has already secured four podium finishes.”
