McAMS Racing and rider Danny Kent head into Round 8 of the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend, marking the final round before the highly anticipated season showdown.
Donington Park will play host to an action-packed schedule, with the Bennetts BSB series breaking from its usual three-race format. Instead, fans will be treated to four 12-lap sprint races across Saturday and Sunday.
Team owners Mar-Train arrive at Donington carrying the news that after 20 years of competition, the squad will bid farewell to the racing world at the end of the season.
Despite the looming conclusion of their journey, the family-run team is determined to go out on a high. With four rounds remaining, McAMS Racing are focused on delivering strong performances at a circuit that has previously brought them great success.
This season has already seen a breakthrough for Kent and the team, highlighted by two stunning race victories at Thruxton and several additional podium finishes.
Heading into Round 8, Kent sits just ten points shy of the top three in the championship standings, remaining firmly focused on collecting valuable points for his 2025 campaign.
Donington Park has been a happy hunting ground for McAMS Racing and Kent in the past. Last year’s outings at the Leicestershire circuit produced two hard-fought podiums, and the team is eager to replicate and surpass that form this time around.
With momentum on their side, Kent and the team are targeting nothing less than more race wins and podiums as they continue to write the final chapter of Mar-Train’s Racing legacy.
Danny Kent
McAMS Racing, Rider
“I’m excited to return to the familiar circuit of Donington Park. As expected, Cadwell Park brought its challenges, but our speed was clear to see, and that gives the whole team confidence moving forward. Donington has always been a strong track for me, with several podium finishes in the past, and we’re eager to build on that history and deliver the same level of performance this weekend.”
Tim Martin
McAMS Racing, Team Owner
“We’re really looking forward to Donington this weekend. The change to a four-race format makes it a demanding round, but it also gives us more chances to show what we can do. Danny has been in fantastic form, and with the progress we’ve made together this season, we know we’ve got the pace to challenge at the sharp end. Donington has always been a circuit where we’ve gone well, and with podiums here last year, there’s every reason to believe we can repeat that success and hopefully go one better. The atmosphere in the garage is positive, everyone is working flat out, and the aim is clear: to bring home more strong results and keep building momentum into the final stages of the championship.”
