LCR Honda Team’s Zarco and Chantra stuggle at the Circuit of the Americas

#5 Johann Zarco – 16th – Sprint
“Today wasn’t the best Saturday. Despite having better track conditions than yesterday, we had to push harder, and I couldn’t ride the bike the way I wanted. We need to figure out and fix a few things to improve the overall feeling. When I can control the bike, I know I can perform well. The positive thing is that I was able to fight during the Sprint. We’ll try again tomorrow, and we’ll keep working on building our confidence.”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 19th – Sprint
“This track is challenging for me, and the Sprint was tough. At the start, I tried to stay with the group, but I made a few mistakes on the first lap and lost some time. I fought to come back, but it was difficult to maintain the pace. Tomorrow, we’ll work harder and make improvements.”
Johann Zarco – DNF – Race
“It was good to start on slicks in the end. It was a crazy start to the race! I didn’t expect the track to dry that quickly, but luckily, we were ready and could make the switch. I’m happy that we took a step forward from yesterday to today, which allowed us to push and get the performance we needed. That’s really important. As for the crash, I lost the rear end of the bike. Overall, the key is that we’ve been competitive and received some positive signs. I’m happy with the progress we’re making, and I want to thank the team for their hard work.”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 16th – Race
“It was a difficult race for me, really tough. This track has a lot of direction changes and corners, making it quite challenging. The positive thing is that we made improvements in the braking areas, and we’re working hard. We’re not giving up, and we’ll aim to do better in Qatar.”
