Johann Zarco – 15th (1’31.735)
“It’s been nice to find this good grip performance in Misano. It’s helping me improve my riding skills, as in the past, I didn’t do well here. Today, I felt that I was doing better, which is positive. Despite the position, the gap with the top riders is very tight, so that means we are working well. I’m focused on this weekend’s races: I want to keep progressing with our package.”
TOUGH FRIDAY FOR NAKAGAMI IN MISANO
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami finished 20th on Friday at Misano. Japanese rider Takaaki Nakagami and his crew faced a demanding Friday at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Despite a challenging start, they made strategic adjustments to the bike, improving Nakagami’s comfort in the afternoon session. Their focus for tomorrow is to secure the best grid position and execute their planned strategy in the Sprint.
Taka Nakagami – 20th (1’32.208)
“I’ve struggled to find a good feeling on the bike today. The biggest issue is the entry to the corners. In the afternoon session we changed some details and modified the set up of the bike and I felt slightly better, but I still am not riding the way I’d like to. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow.”
JOHANN ZARCO FINISHES THE SPRINT IN MISANO
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco has finished 13th on Saturday’s Sprint at Misano. From the 16th spot of the grid, Frenchman Zarco has performed a solid start on today’s Sprint. Facing some difficulties with the acceleration, he didn’t give up and fought hard against his rivals to get to the points. Despite not reaching them, the bright side is that he has made the most out of his package, squeezing its potential and finishing, once again, as the first Honda in the classification. Today’s performance will help the team to take a step ahead of tomorrow’s race.
Johann Zarco – 13th
“I did everything I could. We are missing something on the rear side of the bike, and that doesn’t allow me to push and catch rivals. We are hopeful for the Monday test, see if we can find something different to progress and fight for the positions we’d like to fight.”
TAKAAKI NAKAGAMI COMPLETES MISANO’S SPRINT
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami has crossed the line 20th on Saturday’s Sprint at Misano. Starting from the 22nd spot on the grid, Nakagami faced a tough challenge during the thirteen laps of today’s Sprint at Misano. He struggled with the bike’s chattering, which made it difficult for him to maintain his position and make a comeback. The Japanese finished 20th and is now working hard with his crew to make significant improvements for tomorrow’s race.
Taka Nakagami – 20th
“There’s not much to say, it’s been a difficult Sprint. I wanted to understand the track and push, but I could not do it the way I needed because of the chattering. However, we are not giving up. We are analyzing the gathered data to see if we can improve ahead of tomorrow’s race.”
THE STRATEGY PAID OFF: JOHANN ZARCO GETS POINTS IN MISANO
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco finished 12th on Sunday race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Frenchman Zarco and the crew faced a challenging race due to unpredictable weather conditions. The forecast had predicted rain at the start of the race, followed by clear skies. Johann’s strategic decision to stay on track, his control over the situation, and his error-free performance, without making any mistakes, led him to cross the finish line in 12th place.
Johann Zarco – 12th
“I’m pleased with our strategic decision to stay on the track after the initial rain, which thankfully didn’t escalate into a full wet race. We held onto the 12th position, securing valuable points. It was a calculated risk that paid off. The race was a challenge due to the weather conditions, and we didn’t have the speed to push and fight. The test will be crucial as we aim to make significant progress.”
UNPREDICTABLE BUT INTERESTING RACE FOR NAKAGAMI IN MISANO
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami finished 13th on Sunday race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Taka Nakagami – 13th
“It was a tough race, but we’ve been lucky to get to the points today. We’ve struggled during the weekend, and it wasn’t easy to finish in the points. The conditions were tricky, so I spoke to my crew chief, and I decided to use this strategy, as the rain would pass, and it paid off. The feeling was the same; I suffered the chattering, and we were quite frustrated. Let’s see how we can improve during the test.”
