Johann Zarco finishes in the points for LCR Honda at Assen

Sprint Race

CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco has crossed the line 16th on Saturday’s Sprint at Assen. Starting from the 19th spot of the grid, Frenchman Zarco executed a strategic Sprint, focused on gathering information for Sunday’s race, in which the tyre choice will be crucial for a strong finish. Johann and the crew are working tirelessly to analyze the data to ensure a solid performance for the 26-laps race.

“We decided to use the medium rear tyre for the Sprint, which was a good decision. Everyone used the soft, but after trying the medium on Friday, I could confirm that the feeling was better, as I avoided the vibrations everyone was complaining about. It should also be a good choice for tomorrow’s race. Overall, I managed to keep a decent pace, and despite being far, we never give up.”
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami has crossed the line 18th on Saturday’s Sprint at Assen. Japanese Nakagami had to face a comeback race from the 23rd spot on the grid. During the Sprint, the rider experienced some difficulties with the front end of his bike, lacking the confidence to push and overtake rivals. Tomorrow’s question mark would be the tyre choice, as high temperatures play a pivotal role.

“I had the same feeling as yesterday; we couldn’t improve as much as we wanted. The Sprint was tough, and I struggled to catch the rivals. Let’s see tomorrow how it goes.”
