IN Competition Aprilia enjoyed another progressive weekend at Oulton Park, with both riders delivering encouraging performances aboard their Aprilia machinery.

Jack Bednarek continued to show strong form in the Superstock class on the Aprilia RSV4, securing 13th and 14th-place finishes in the two races. Alfie Davidson once again impressed in the Sportbike class on the Aprilia RS660, claiming a fantastic second-place finish after a thrilling battle for victory.

Jack continued to build confidence with the RSV4 throughout the weekend, making steady progress in every session. After qualifying 12th, he fought hard in both Superstock races to score valuable championship points. In the second race, a small mistake saw him run onto the grass, costing him several positions, but he recovered to bring home another points-scoring finish.

Jack:

“This weekend the team made some big changes to the Aprilia, which allowed us to make a lot of progress.

I made a few mistakes in race one which cost us some valuable positions.

I had a strange feeling on the bike towards the end of race two and ran onto the grass, losing a couple of positions.

Alfie once again worked hard throughout the weekend in the highly competitive Sportbike class. With only one race on the schedule, every session proved incredibly close. He qualified second on the grid, missing pole position by just 0.01 seconds.

The race developed into a spectacular battle at the front, with as many as eight riders in contention for victory. Alfie spent the entire race swapping the lead with Asher Durham before crossing the line in second place by just 0.05 seconds, extending his championship lead to 34 points.

“We managed to secure another podium at Oulton Park, finishing second.

It was a tough race today compared to other races, but we managed to stay in the top two throughout.

I went for a move at the final corner, but it wasn’t quite enough to take the win. I’ve now managed to extend my championship lead to 34 points.”
