Ilya Mikhalchik has become the first Ukrainian Superstock champion after he beat rival David Allingham in a very close race on Saturday.
The ROKiT BMW Motorrad rider beat Allingham by 1.177secs after a clocking a new record on his final lap at the end of a dramatic race.
Mikhalchik hit the front at the start but Allingham was right behind, making a move up the inside at Paddock Hill Bend on Lap Two to take the lead. Luke Mossey found a way past and into second place on the fourth lap, but on the sixth, Mikhalchik was back ahead and into second position.
The Safety Car was deployed moments later to deal with a crash from Brad Perie and when the race resumed on Lap Nine, Allingham tried his best to hold the lead.
However, Mikhalchik wanted to seal the title as early in the weekend as possible and made a last lap move, hitting the front again and this time it was job done as he held it to the line to take victory.
“I want to say thanks to the team, they did an unbelievable job, no mistakes, a lot of wins, a lot of podiums,” he said. “I’ve enjoyed the season and I’m happy so much.”
Eemeli Lahti took third behind Allingham with Matt Truelove fourth and Declan Connell fifth.

Ilya Mikhalchik powered to his second win of the day in the second Superstock race, which was cut short following a crash on the eighth lap.
The newly-crowned champ, aboard a special ‘champion’ livery machine and running the number one plate, hit the front at the start ahead of David Allingham and took immediate charge.
He led all the way, with Josh Owens chasing Allingham from third position but the race was red-flagged following a crash at Clearways involving Joe Howard and Jake Hopper.
Both riders emerged unhurt but race chiefs ruled the race would not be restarted and awarded half points.
Mikhalchik took win number two of the day from Allingham with Owens third, Eemeli Lahti fourth and Ian Hutchinson fifth.

With the title fight all done, the pressure was off in today’s 10-lap race, which was hit by very heavy rain.
Polesitter and 2025 champion Ilya Mikhalchik dropped back to fifth at the start as championship runner-up David Allingham took the lead. But it was to be short lived, as he crashed at the start of Lap Two.
Lahti had already made his way up to second and now inherited the lead, which he held well all the way to the flag. Matt Truelove did close in briefly on lap seven but was never close enough to make a move and had to settle for second.
Tom Oliver ran in third all the way to the final lap, when he was pipped by Josh Owens on the last corner. Oliver was fourth with Declan Connell fifth.
