FAO Racing take the win in the Supertwin Race at the Tandragee 100

Tandragee 100 completed!
Results:
Supersport race 1: P5
Supertwin race: P1
Supersport race 2: P4
After a successful practice day with Darryl Tweed Racing #59 putting the NovoGen Engineering Solutions Ltd by FAO racing Honda CBR600rr in 3rd position and then shortly after he went one better on The NovoGen Engineering Solutions Ltd BY FAO racing Aprilia RS660 qualifying the twin in 2nd place. After the session DT gave some feedback to the team who began implementing some changes to the Aprilia.
Friday evenings Next gen Supersport race followed and after getting a good start tweedy knuckled down and settled into a good battle with Manxman Cummins on the Ducati, ultimately the torque of the Ducati was the key factor and after a great run he crossed the line on the FAO Racing Honda CBR600RR in 5th position.
Awakening to an ever changing weather situation the bikes, team and rider were ready for a busy day staring with several wheel changes and tyre choices!
First up was the Supertwin race. Tweed got a good start and held onto 2nd into the first corner, then proceeded to lead the first two laps and was riding very smoothly so it was clear to see the set up changes made by the lads had helped the wee twin!
The race developed into a ding dong battle with Micko Sweeney that came to a climax when Tweedy who was putting immense pressure on, pounced on a mistake at the final corner from Sweeney to grab a fantastic WIN in a brilliant Supertwin race and taking the fastest class lap of the weekend.
Last race of the day for us was the second Next gen Supersport race and again it was tweedy and the Manxman Cummins battling it out on the road this time for 3rd place the pair were at it hammer and tong all race long and you could have covered them.
In a blanket as they crossed the line lap after lap the NovoGen by FAO racing Honda was singing all race and a valiant effort from tweed as he attempted a last ditch squirt to the line but it wasn’t to be! still grabbing a very impressive 4th place and setting some great lap times!!
To the event organisers Tandragee 100 Road Races and volunteers for the incredible job of managing the weather and getting all the races completed we take off our hats, well done !!
We are hoping all the riders injured make a speedy recovery.
