Eazi-Grip supported Ten Kate Racing Yamaha ends successful test campaign in Assen

Ten Kate Racing Yamaha has concluded the preparation for the 2021 season with a test at their home track in Assen. Dominique Aegerter completed 87 laps in good weather conditions at the TT Circuit. The Swiss rider set fast lap times and the team was able to complete the full test programme. Galang Hendra Pratama is currently in Indonesia and was therefore not present during this test.

The weather conditions were excellent for Ten Kate Racing Yamaha and Dominique Aegerter during the test at the TT Circuit Assen on Monday the 19th of April. The temperatures were good which made a lot of track time possible for the Dutch team on their home soil. This training day was the final test for Ten Kate Racing Yamaha before the World Supersport season starts at Motorland Aragon from 21-23 May. This test was also very important to gather useful information for Ten Kate’s home round at the TT Circuit Assen, which is held from 23rd to 25th of July on the WorldSBK calendar.

Aegerter rode no less than 87 laps during this private test in Assen. The Swiss rider had a great pace, just like in previous tests. Aegerter’s fastest lap of the day was close to the lap record. The Ten Kate Racing Yamaha squad also had the possibility to test a lot things in terms of setup of the Yamaha YZF-R6, which allows the team to work out the final details in their workshop in Nieuwleusen for the first WorldSSP round next month.

Galang Hendra Pratama is currently in Indonesia for his final preparations for the start of the World Supersport season. Before the season opener at Motorland Aragon, Ten Kate Racing Yamaha has planned an official team presentation that will take place in week 19 (10-16 May). The exact moment of the team presentation will be announced later through the Ten Kate social media channels.

Dominique Aegerter: “It was a good test on the home track of the team in Assen. It was a private test, so I was the only one on the racetrack. It was a very positive day in good conditions with some sun and around 25 degrees asphalt temperature. We were also very fast and my fastest lap was around the lap record. My pace was going a little bit up and down, because the wind was changing a bit during the day. We collected a lot of data, which the team can check in the workshop. We’re in top level and I can’t wait to start the season. Big thanks to the Ten Kate Racing Yamaha team for their hard work and to the TT Circuit Assen for this opportunity!”
