Eazi-Grip supported Oli Bayliss to race with #32

The DesmoSport Ducati Panigale V4 R of Oli Bayliss will display the number 32 in 2021 much like the Panigale 1299 FE of his father, Troy Bayliss in early 2019, which of course was a throwback to the number that the three-time World Champion started his own racing career with before becoming synonymous with 21.

Oli Bayliss: “Every time I’ve moved up a class in road racing, I’ve had to change my race number because another rider is already racing with it and so moving up to superbike, the same problem came up. Mum, Dad and I had a bit of chat about it, and I decided on 32, the same number Dad raced with here and when he first went to BSB (British Superbike Championship). I think it’s pretty cool to be able to share something like this with Dad, so even when the opportunity to change back to 68 came up with Glenn Scott retiring, I decided that I really want 32 to be my superbike race number”.

Team Co-Owner, Troy Bayliss: “It’s a shame that Oli has to keep changing numbers, but that’s the way it goes in racing. I think it’s cool though that not only does he get to make his Superbike debut on a Ducati, but to also choose my original race number, before I moved to 21, it’s pretty special. Sometimes this kid surprises me with the decisions he makes (laughs), and I’m pretty confident that we’re going to see him make that 32 his own now”.
