Eazi-Shield™ Radiant Heat Shield

Specifically designed to protect components from the damaging effects of radiant heat.

Eazi-Shield™ features a composite construction of aluminium foil, silicone adhesive, glass cloth and flame resistant polyurethane, optimising barrier performance up to 500 degrees C, with minimal weight and material thickness.  Presented in a self-adhesive format making it simple to install.

It has a higher than average 20mu aluminium foil face making it extremely durable and resilient even after repeated manipulation during fabrication.  The adhesive used to laminate the aluminium foil to the glass cloth is a special high temperature silicone adhesive, greatly reducing the chances of the foil cracking or delaminating from the glass cloth.  In addition, the base glass cloth fabric is impregnated with a black flame resistant pu coating to prevent fraying during CNC machine slitting and fabrication, ensuring a clean cut and professional finish.

Eazi-Shield™ offers a flexible, easy to apply material to help reflect heat away from electrical components and can also be used on the inside of fairings, body panels etc. to protect paint finishes from extreme heat, the bottom of fuel tanks, inside of sumps, bottom of air boxes and to prevent heat transfer to swing arms on close fitting exhausts.

** This product must not be adhered to hot surfaces e.g. exhausts as the adhesive would fail or ignite.  It is only designed for “radiant heat” deflection.**

Eazi-Grip™ Racing Products Application Guide

Careful preparation and application will ensure maximum performance in all environments and will ensure 100% satisfaction with your purchase.

  • 1Clean surface thoroughly

    Clean surface thoroughly. Use an IPA cleaner to remove all surface contaminants. Do not use methylated spirits/petrol/lighter fluid etc, as they leave behind a thin greasy residue.

  • 2Ensure prepared surface...

    Ensure prepared surface is above 10°C. Heat up the Eazi-Grip tank pad and the tank on your bike with a heat gun or hair dryer for the best results

  • 3Peel back part...

    Peel back part of the release liner then press the tank grip firmly onto the tank and slowly peel back the liner whilst applying the pad. Push down between the traction domes and take care not to trap air bubbles as you go. Apply using firm pressure as our adhesive is pressure sensitive. Once applied press down firmly taking extra care at the edges.

Common Application Errors

  • Surface is prepared using incorrect cleaner.
  • Surface is cleaned using inappropriate material.
  • Surface has recently been sprayed, painted. has new transfers or new logos.
  • Surface is below application temperature.
  • Tank grip is below application temperature.
  • Surface has protective wax/polish/coating.
  • Incorrect pressure applied during application.
  • Tank grips used before full adhesive bond has formed.
