Diogo Moreira gets his best MotoGP results so far with a P7 and P6 in Hungary

#11 Diogo Moreira – 8th (1’37.708) – Practice
“Today, I managed to adapt and enjoy the riding, so I’m happy with the job we’ve done. It’s difficult to understand the track because there’s only one line, which makes it hard to improve your lap time. With a MotoGP bike, you need to avoid mistakes because it’s a small circuit. Securing a place in Q2 is a positive result and will help us a lot going into tomorrow. We’ll see what we can do.”
#35 Cal Crutchlow – 22nd (1’39.734) – Practice
“I feel better on the bike this week than last week. I was able to ride normal laps. We had a couple of new tyres at the end and we improved. This is a new circuit for me, and we are happy with the progress. Our goal is to keep going like this: enjoying and improving. There is no pressure or expectations, just doing our best and seeing what we can do. I’m having a good time!”
#11 Diogo Moreira – 7th – Sprint
“Today I gave absolutely everything in the Sprint. I did my best and got the most out of our package to secure this result. We know we can be more competitive in Sprint races, and that’s what I tried to make the most of today. We’re working really well and making progress every weekend, so we need to keep this momentum going and see what we can achieve tomorrow.”
#35 Cal Crutchlow – 22nd – Sprint
“The shoulder is not too bad, actually better than I expected. I wanted to save some energy and manage the race in a smart way, and we managed to do that. I’m losing some time in the changes of direction, but in other areas I’m performing quite well. Right now, we’re not focused on the result; we’re focused on understanding more and continuing to make progress. This circuit is demanding for me because I have no references here, as it’s completely new. In any case, we’re doing a good job and I’m feeling comfortable on the bike. Let’s see what we can do tomorrow!”
#11 Diogo Moreira – 6th – Race
“Today I tried to handle the situation as best as I could, and I think we did a good race. Maybe we made the wrong choice with the tyre, going for the medium, as it wasn’t the ideal option. Even so, we managed to finish in a good position and with a consistent pace. I’m proud of the work we’ve done this weekend.”
#35 Cal Crutchlow – 16th – Race
“It was probably the most physically demanding race I’ve ever done. I’m happy with the result because we understand our current situation, but the lap times show that I’m making progress and getting more comfortable on the bike. It’s been tough, but I’m pleased with the work we’re doing. The racing spirit is still there despite the time I’ve spent away. The important thing is that we’re improving, understanding the bike better and better, and taking positive steps forward every time we go out on track.”
