Dean Harrison clinched a Southern 100 hat-trick after winning a breathless Steam Packet Company Senior race with a last-lap overtake on Billown debutant Peter Hickman.
Ireland’s Mike Browne completed the podium places in a pulsating seven-lap race around the 4.25-mile course in perfect warm and sunny conditions.
Harrison also went close to his outright lap record, lapping at 116.897mph on the penultimate lap, which was a new lap record for the race.
The Honda Racing rider blitzed the race record by some seven seconds, finishing in a time of 15m 32.277s.
However, pole man Harrison didn’t have things his own way as Hickman (8TEN Racing BMW) took the lead on the first lap when Browne (MB Racing/Russell Racing Honda) missed a gear exiting Ballabeg following a lightning-fast start.
Michael Dunlop (MD/Hawk Racing Honda) then passed Browne into Iron Gate to take second place, with Harrison holding fourth.
The order was unchanged at Cross Four Ways, but when they reached the start and finish for the first time, Dunlop had dropped to fourth, with Hickman leading Browne and Harrison.
The top three began to pull clear of the rest and the order remained unchanged until the sixth lap, with only a few tenths of a second between them.
Harrison was looking for a way past Browne, while Hickman upped the pace at the front with a lap of 116.159mph, which was only 1.6s outside Harrison’s absolute course record.
With time running out, race favourite Harrison made a pass on Browne at Ballabeg to take second and closed in on Hickman with a blistering record lap of 116.897mph on the penultimate lap.
Harrison was looking menacing and he timed his move to perfection, slipping underneath Hickman at Cross Four Ways on the final lap to lead for the first time.
The Yorkshireman, who lives in Ballaugh on the Isle of Man, went on to seal his third Superbike victory of race week by 0.942s from Hickman, who was 1.486s ahead of Browne.
Nathan Harrison (H&H Motorcycles Honda) was nine seconds further back, with Dunlop finishing his first race at the 2026 Southern 100 meeting in fifth, 3.5s behind Manxman Harrison.
Joe Yeardsley rounded out the top six ahead of fellow Isle of Man rider Conor Cummins.
Paul Jordan (Jackson Racing Honda) and Michael Sweeney (MJR BMW) both retired.
Rob Hodson (SMT Honda) finished eighth ahead of Marcus Simpson (Honda).
