Imperious Dean Harrison wrapped up a Southern 100 four-timer after winning the blue riband Solo Championship crown for the fourth time and setting a new outright lap record for the Billown course.
Harrison grabbed the lead from pole in the nine-lap feature race and set a scorching pace around the 4.25-mile course, quickly putting daylight between himself and event newcomer Peter Hickman (8TEN Racing BMW), who would finish second ahead of Mike Browne.
Honda Racing rider Harrison smashed his 2025 outright lap record on the second lap with a speed of 117.663mph to open a lead of 1.178s over Hickman, who was already clear of the battle for third between Browne (MB Racing/Russell Racing Honda) and Nathan Harrison (H&H Motorcycles Honda).
In the warm July sunshine, Harrison rattled off lap after lap at close to record pace on his Senior TT-winning Honda Fireblade and pulled further away from Hickman, who was on his own in second.
After five laps, Harrison’s advantage was 3.3s over Hickman in a processional race, with little change in the top-six running order throughout.
Browne was keeping Nathan Harrison at bay in third, with the duo clear of Michael Dunlop (MD/Hawk Racing Honda) and Paul Jordan (Jackson Racing Honda).
As the huge crowds willed him on, Harrison stretched his lead to 7.3s on the penultimate lap before easing down slightly on the ninth and last lap to clinch the Solo Championship title by 6.9s from Hickman.
Harrison established a new race record in a time of 19m 42.132s, with Hickman also under the old race record.
Browne finished 11.6s behind Hickman, securing third from Nathan Harrison by 1.9s.
Dunlop was seven seconds down on Manx rider Harrison and 3.9s ahead of fellow Ulsterman Jordan, who was sixth.
Conor Cummins (BMW) held off Rob Hodson (SMT Honda) by three tenths of a second to claim seventh, while Marcus Simpson (Honda) secured ninth by just 0.017s on the line from Dominic Herbertson (BMW).
