An emotional win for Luke Mossey in the Superstock Race at Oulton Park

Luke Mossey was back to his winning ways in this afternoon’s Superstock race as he beat David Allingham by 0.083secs.

The Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles rider took victory after hitting the front a few laps from home and holding off a charging Allingham to the line.

Luke Mossey: “That one was special so glad to be back on the top step of the podium after the injury! It’s been a tough few months massive thank you to all my sponsors as always.”

Polesitter Eemeli Lahti led into the first corner but it took less than a lap for points leader Ilya Mikhalchik to take the lead.

But Mikhalchik’s only championship rival Allingham was determined to keep his hopes alive and charged past his rival on Lap Four, closely followed by Mossey.

Allingham led for a few laps but couldn’t keep Mossey behind him and had to settle for second, as Josh Owens was third.

Mikhalchik was fourth in the first race this year he hasn’t stood on the podium, as Lahti rounded out the top five.
