I’m fine after the crash this morning, and despite the setbacks we faced earlier in the day, we managed to secure a good position in the afternoon. Being already in Q2 is always an advantage, so let’s see what tomorrow brings!”
#35 Cal Crutchlow – 22nd (1’53.847) – Practice
“First crash since I’ve been back these past few weeks, but it’s part of racing, it’s normal. It was a slow crash and I’m fine, I just came off. Overall, it was a good day. We struggled a bit with the feeling, but we’re working hard to keep improving and I’m pleased with that. With every lap I’m getting faster, and I still have that ability even if I’m not in the same situation as the others. It’s been a positive day, so let’s see what tomorrow brings.”
#11 Diogo Moreira – DNF – Sprint
“Today was a good day despite the result. We had a strong qualifying session and I learned a lot from my rivals. We chose the soft tyre, which I think was the right decision, and got a good start. I pushed to stay with the group, but in the end I carried a bit too much speed into that corner and lost the front. We’re rookies, and these things happen. We’ll try again tomorrow!”
#35 Cal Crutchlow – DNF – Sprint
“I’m fine. I crashed at the penultimate corner, which was a pity. The bike is working well, we just didn’t have the day we wanted. In the race I was doing a decent job, but as I’m still not completely comfortable ergonomically, I made a small mistake and ended up in the gravel. These things happen. Overall, we’re doing a good job, so let’s see what tomorrow brings.”
#11 Diogo Moreira – 11th – Race
“It was a tough race. We chose the medium tyre because it was the safest option and, after yesterday’s crash, it was important to make sure we reached the finish. The final stages of the race were difficult, and I focused on managing the tyre and bringing it home. Considering the circumstances, we did a good job and managed to score points. In Assen, we’ll aim to take another step forward and be back fighting again.”
#35 Cal Crutchlow – 17th – Race
“It was a long race, and I’m pleased to have finished it. I really enjoyed the first eight laps, but then I started struggling with the front tyre. I had some good battles during those opening stages, which was fun. After that, I had to drop back a little to manage the tyre situation and then just kept going. Over the final seven laps, I started to lose power, which made things even more demanding. I think I could have gone faster, but the important thing was to bring the bike home. Both the team and I are happy with the outcome, and we’re already looking forward to Assen.”
