Hakim Danish Ramli is ready to take on Round 7 of the MotoGP World Championship at the Italian Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place at the Mugello Circuit from 29 to 31 May.

After delivering an encouraging performance to finish seventh overall at the Catalunya Grand Prix, Hakim Danish arrives in Mugello with greater confidence as he looks to maintain his positive momentum and continue pushing for stronger results in this year’s Moto3 campaign. His performance in Catalunya saw the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI rider running with the leading group throughout the race and coming close to securing a podium finish before a minor mistake on the final lap forced him to settle for seventh place. Nevertheless, the result still provided a welcome boost as Hakim collected nine valuable championship points, taking his overall tally to 27 points after six rounds.

Carrying that momentum into Mugello, the 18-year-old rider from Terengganu is aiming to remain consistent in scoring points while continuing his pursuit of a maiden podium finish on the Moto3 world stage. Hakim’s main focus this weekend will be to make a positive start from Friday’s free practice sessions, with the goal of posting competitive lap times and securing an automatic place in Q2.

Hakim’s confidence is further strengthened by his strong record at Mugello, a circuit he knows well. Last season in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, he finished second in Race 2, underlining his ability to handle the characteristics of the high-speed circuit. That experience is expected to give Hakim an added advantage as he looks to challenge at the front once again this weekend.

Hakim Danish: “Catalunya gave me a big confidence boost because I was able to stay with the leading group throughout the race. I learned a lot, especially about how to manage the pace of the race while running at the front. Of course, I was a little disappointed to miss out on the podium because of a small mistake on the final lap, but I’m taking that as a valuable lesson to keep improving.

“I’m also excited to return to Mugello because I have good memories there from before. I hope that experience will help me find my rhythm early and continue fighting with the leading group. My focus now is to keep working hard, achieve a strong result and collect important points for the team. I also want to give my best to fight for a front-row starting position.”

Zulfahmi Khairuddin: “Hakim showed very positive progress in Catalunya and that performance proved he is becoming more mature in managing races with the leading group. He is also growing more comfortable with both the bike and the team. I hope that will give Hakim an added advantage in finding the best set-up ahead of Mugello.
