A few points collected at Misano for LCR Honda

#5 Johann Zarco – 11th (1’31.068) – Practice
The morning was pretty tough, and we had to change the setup to get more stability. In the afternoon, I noticed the improvements, as I was able to try some aero evolutions, and that was positive. From there, I made some steps and was happy with the progress on the time attack. Tomorrow I just hope to stay calm on the bike, give the right information, and find a good balance on this track to do a strong job in the Sprint.”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 23rd (1’32.516) – Practice
“Today was a bit unusual, as it was my first time riding the MotoGP bike at Misano. The lines and speed here feel completely different, and the pace is really impressive. We focused on finding an initial setup, and in the afternoon, we managed to make some improvements. I made a few mistakes and didn’t quite reach our goal, but we’ll push again tomorrow.”
#5 Johann Zarco – 11th – Sprint
“We improved throughout the sessions, and I could feel it during the Sprint. This track is quite tricky in certain sections, and we struggled a bit, but we managed to make a strong comeback. We’ll work on improving further ahead of tomorrow to fight for points and the best possible result.”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 19th – Sprint
“The Sprint wasn’t bad, as we improved the bike compared to qualifying. During the race we tried some different settings, and I felt more comfortable. We still need to work on a few details for Sunday’s race, but I’ll give my best to reduce the gap.”
#5 Johann Zarco– 16th – Race
“After the crash, the right side of the bike was damaged, but it was still rideable. However, I was missing a lot of stability. I wanted to rejoin the race in case of a red flag. I also noticed other riders making mistakes, so I was hoping to score some points. It’s a real pity, my start was good, but another rider crashed and I was right next to him; I couldn’t avoid him. In any case, I wanted to at least give it a try. Now I’m focused on tomorrow’s test and on doing a good job.”
#35 Somkiat Chantra – 15th – Race
“Today was a tough day. We tried different settings on the bike to improve and I felt better, but the race was challenging, I expected more. In any case, I managed to score a point, and that’s always positive. We’ll aim to make improvements during tomorrow’s test.”
