Danial Syahmi

“In Race 1, I couldn’t finish my race. I started the race in 24th place, and in the first lap, I improved my position a lot. I jumped to P14, but unfortunately, every lap I had a mechanical problem with my bike. On the 9th lap, I think my bike’s engine broke and I went straight in the first corner and almost hit the wall so I jumped off my bike. That’s why I couldn’t finish my race.”

“I started the second race in 23rd place and I started the race quite well. In the third corner, a rider overtook me and took me out of the racing line. This caused me to lose my position. I tried to catch up with the front group but this week I struggled with the hot weather, my riding and also with my bike. I couldn’t collect any points in this round and I’m very disappointed with my results. In the next round, I will get up and fight harder.”

“In the first race just now, I made a good start and tried to overtake one by one. In the middle of the race, I had a bit of a struggle where today’s pace was faster than yesterday. It is quite difficult to handle my bike. But I was able to finish the race competing in the second group. I finished the race in P9.”

“Not a good start for me in race 2. I managed to overtake one by one but in the middle of the race, I tried my best to catch up with the front group. Unfortunately, the group gap is too far and the pace of the front group is fast. I fought with the second group again and I finished the race in P11. At the end of the race, I made a little mistake because I almost hit another rider. I chased back and I reached the rider again. Overall, I improve day by day in terms of my riding style and my lap times. I can’t wait to go to Jerez and I will push myself. See you in Jerez.”

“This week is the fourth round of the JuniorGP. A difficult week for both riders. Especially Danial Syahmi, because he had technical problems throughout the week. He didn’t finish the race in Race 1 and finished Race 2 in P17. As for Hakim Danish, I expected better results. But I’m sure the other riders are better at this circuit because they’ve been testing at this circuit for the last two weeks. We know where our weaknesses are with Hakim Danish, and I’m sure he’s a competitive rider. I am also sure that my team will help Hakim Danish to be in a more competitive place in the fifth round in Jerez, Spain. I hope to all friends out there, to continue to support our team and all the Malaysian riders to continue fighting in the upcoming rounds.”
