After a challenging start to the day, Frenchman Zarco and the crew faced a crucial Sprint on German soil. Despite its intensity, the race allowed Zarco to conserve tyre wear and gather valuable data. IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami has finished 18th on Saturday’s Sprint at the Sachsenring. After a demanding start to the day, Japanese Nakagami and the crew had to face an intense Sprint on German soil. The main goal was to analyze the tyre’s performance as temperatures were high, and tomorrow’s race would be long and hard.
The gathered information will help Takaaki and the technicians apply some adjustments ahead of tomorrow’s race.

“Today, we noticed some small improvements, which is positive. I’m disappointed about today’s performance on the Sprint, but the situation was demanding because of the tyre wear, and I didn’t have the best feeling. In any case, now we’ve got some important data to prepare for tomorrow’s race.”

CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco finished 17th in the Sunday race at the Sachsenring. Frenchman Zarco has experienced a complicated race on German soil. After a difficult start that saw him lose some positions, he fought back with determination, aiming to control the situation. He managed to finish the race without making mistakes and finally crossed the line 17th.

“I lost a lot of time at the beginning of the race. From that moment on, I tried to follow my strategy. I managed to handle the tyre wear, which was positive, and at the end of the race, I felt I had something else to push; but it was tricky as my rivals didn’t make it easy. In any case, we are always closer to the bike we’d like to ride; we are working hard.”
TAKAAKI NAKAGAMI SCORES POINTS IN GERMANY
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami has crossed the line 15th on Sunday race at the Sachsenring. The Japanese rider has carried out a solid and strong race on German soil. Despite the difficulties, he’s pushed and fought through the 30 laps without giving up, battling for the 13th position against rivals. Today’s performance has served Takaaki and the crew to see some positives in order to make some steps ahead of the next races.
Taka Nakagami – 14th
“On the last lap I knew I had to attack because I wanted to get to the points. So, somehow, I had nothing to lose in that sense, and I gave everything. It worked! And despite being just a point, it’s very significant for us. Many thanks to the team for its job!”
